With the WWE Battleground event taking place this Sunday, all eyes are on the likes of Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Kevin Owens with some interesting matches set to take place.

But one name fans wouldn’t expect to hear around this time is The Undertaker.

Rumours suggest The Undertaker could possible appear at Battleground this Sunday, and he could play a big part in the conclusion of the main event which will see Seth Rollins defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against The Beast, Brock Lesnar.

IMPRESSIVE TRACK RECORD

Once again we turn to Reddit as this time, user ‘falconarrow’ claims The Undertaker is set to make his return to the WWE at Battleground.

Of course, at this point it’s simply a rumour especially if it circulates on Reddit first. However ‘falconarrow’ does have a good record when it comes to predictions.

His impressive track record shows he correctly predicted the NXT divas appearing on Monday Night Raw this week, where Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch all appeared on Monday Night Raw.

He also called that Ryback would be crowned the new Intercontinental Champion at Elimination Chamber and that Mark Henry would be appearing in it. He also correctly predicted when Samoa Joe would be making his NXT debut, so perhaps there is something to this story.

The Undertaker returning hasn’t just popped up from anywhere though. As of late we have been hearing The Undertaker’s name appear more often than usual on television and the latest name drop came this past week on Monday Night Raw.

During the opening segment between Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins and Kane, Heyman told Kane he didn’t want to upset The Undertaker’s baby brother, which clearly bothered him.

THE UNDERTAKER VS. BROCK LESNAR AT SUMMERSLAM?

So, could it happen? Many fans would believe there’s no chance of it happening but when you think about it, it does seem like the right time to have him return, if he’s ready to do so.

Brock Lesnar has taken out J&J Security and now he has taken Kane out which means Seth Rollins will be all alone at Battleground, can he really find a way to defeat Brock Lesnar?

Fans are predicting that it will take some help for Rollins to retain, and that assistance could potentially come in form of The Deadman who could be out to avenge his defeat to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX as well has avenge his brother’s injury at the hands of Lesnar.

This means that SummerSlam would be an even bigger event. We could finally see the rematch between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, considering Seth Rollins is expected to take on Triple H and we probably won’t see Lesnar and Rollins go at it again.

MUST-SEE EVENT

A photo emerged on Twitter of The Undertaker working out and he looks in fantastic shape, and perhaps we just might see The Undertaker make his first appearance since defeating Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31, this Sunday at Battleground.

With this news, more eyes will be glued to the WWE Network. Not only for the matches taking place, but the potential return of The Undertaker.

If it’s not The Undertaker playing a part in the main event, somebody like Dean Ambrose or even Sheamus could have a say in how the main event unfolds. However it will be The Undertaker the majority of the fans will be hoping for.
