In truth Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's time at Arsenal thus far has been somewhat upsetting. His unbelievable potential has been hampered by injury problems and up until now his career at the Gunners has failed to ignite.
He has still shown plenty of displays which solidify his place as one of the game's finest young talents, but now that talent needs to evolve into consistent class.
Last campaign bad luck once again struck the Ox when injury came back to haunt him just as he was getting into a fine run of form.

His performance against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final was testimony to his undeniable qualities, his assist for Nacho Monreal's opener magical. As fate would have it though his performance was cut short once again by yet another muscular injury.
As a player Chamberlain is a rare breed; completely fearless, possessive of fantastic skill and above all boasting impeccable physical attributes.

The pace and power that he has is a truly frightening prospect for any defender, but now more needs to be added to his game.
Time to shine
2015/16 could be the biggest year in his young career so far. We all know what he is capable of but now we need to see it on a consistent basis. He will get his chance next season, that's for sure.
Last campaign Wenger placed a lot of faith in Chamberlain and he was a vital member of the starting XI in early 2015.
Alexis Sanchez is set to miss the start of the campaign due to his efforts in the Copa America and Theo Walcott's time as a winger at Arsenal seems all but over as he looks set to become a centre forward.
Big opportunity to grasp
Chamberlain will therefore have an early opportunity to establish himself in the Arsenal team for next season and give Wenger yet more selection headaches.
Despite the efforts of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey in wide positions last year I feel that Chamberlain is the man who can take Arsenal to the next level. He may need to add goals to his game but he is a player who scares defences and makes them alter their tactics to accommodate his fearless performances.
Injury could yet strike him down once again, but with a full pre-season behind him hopefully Arsenal's star in the making will finally fulfil his undeniable potential.
