Robin van Persie sealed the move from Manchester United to Fenerbahce on Tuesday for an undisclosed fee.
However, United now have very limited resources up front as they now only have 3 center-forwards in their first team.
There is a definite need to add quality to United's front line if they are to challenge for the title but who will the free-spending Red Devils decide to sign? Here are some options:

The ideal option: Robert Lewandowski.
With a similar playing style, the 26 year-old Pole would be the ideal man to lead United's menacing front line. With an impressive goal record of 17 goals in 30 games for Bayern Munich he can obviously give United the 20+ goals needed for any title contenders. On top of this, Lewandowski's agent said he would be open to a move to England, news that is exciting many United fans. However, it is being reported that Lewandowski will cost United at least £35 million, which may put the Red Devils off.
The cheap option: Javier Hernandez.
With Wayne Rooney and James Wilson showing what they can do for United up front last season, Louis van Gaal may take a risk and give Javier Hernandez game time to prove himself. Although never really used as a regular striker at United or Madrid he could, depending on his form, provide enough quality to play alongside Rooney.
The realistic option: Christian Benteke.
Although with a relatively large release clause of £32.5 million Benteke can add some much need strength to United's skillful, yet fragile, attacking line-up. With interest from Liverpool diminishing, United will face little competition in the Belgian international. Although expensive, the 24 year-old's wage demands will be far less than Lewandowski's. The only issue is that Benteke's form is much more sporadic than Lewandowski's consistent scoring, which may deter United.
Other possible options:
Edinson Cavani - With undoubted quality, only the £40-50 million price tag for the 28 year-old is putting United off.
Alexandre Lacazette - The 24 year-old Frenchman has been heavily linked with a £27 million move to Arsenal but will United better Arsenal's bid and hope Lacazette can make the step up to the Premier league.
Charlie Austin - The young Englishman could provide aerial strength as well as added strength to United's squad. Although he would be a rotation option he would add depth to United's squad.
