Bryant had continually claimed that his threat to sit out was legitimate and it was starting to present a very real problem for the Cowboys.

However the two came to an agreement on Wednesday and now it should all be behind them, but who was actually responsible for striking a deal?

Well Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has come out and praised one man in particular and it's not quite a name you'd associate Jones with.

Jones has come out and praised Jay Z and his Roc Nation Sports company who were reportedly instrumental in getting a new deal done.

Jones praised Jay Z himself but also had a big message for Bryant.

"You did a good job associating yourself with Jay Z. He's wonderful ... I spent hours with him last night." - Jones' response to Bryant aligning with Jay Z

The thought of Jerry Jones hanging out with Jay Z is not one many people will have had, but it seemed to work out for everyone involved with the Cowboys.

Bryant now isn't set to leave Dallas for many years and the Cowboys fans will surely be thankful to Roc Nation and Jay Z that he has helped them to keep their star wide receiver.
