Luis' replacement found
Chelsea may have agreed to let Filipe Luis return to Atletico Madrid this summer, but they’re already close to agreeing a deal for his replacement, according to reports.
The latest rumours infer that FC Augsburg full-back Abdul Baba Rahman is the man Jose Mourinho wants to fill the void left by Luis, who reports have it pegged has all but completed a switch back to Spain.

Rahman is considerably younger than Luis and not so established as the Brazilian was when he moved to Stamford Bridge last summer. Due to this we believe he won’t have such a hard time if he’s forced to play second-fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta whilst he continues his development.
That said there’s been no deal made yet, and Rahman could well end up staying in Germany for another year. It’s more likely that he’ll be enticed to west London, we have to admit, but if there’s one thing working in this industry will teach you, it’s to trust nothing.
Liverpool to trump Chelsea?
In other news Liverpool could beat the Blues to the capture of Barcelona star Pedro, and they’re willing to use the cash from Raheem Sterling’s sale to do it. Chelsea are said to be interested in the Spaniard, but won’t pay his release clause, whereas Brendan Rodgers will.
Yet again we find ourselves slightly sceptical regarding this story, but that’s more down to the fact that Pedro is a household name in European football and Liverpool won’t even be in European football’s most prestigious tournament this coming season.
To wrap things up ironically we can tell you that a certain Chelsea player’s days are numbered at Stamford Bridge, and it’s all down to a fairly controversial Mourinho move.
Mohamed Salah has been left out of Chelsea’s squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, implying that he is no longer wanted by the Special One. There’s much and more going on regarding his refusal to return to Fiorentina and the potential implications it could have; click here for the full story.
