WWE's mid-card is filled with superstars ready to step up and fight it out for the World Championship, no one more so that Jack Swagger, but it seems WWE may have missed their chance.
The former World Champion has been in and out of title pictures for the past two years and it seemed that WWE had struck gold when they partnered him with Cesaro and they became The Real Americans, who, along with Zeb Colter, dominated the Tag Team Division.
Following Cesaro's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal win at WrestleMania 30, the team split up and Cesaro aligned himself with Paul Heyman, leaving Zeb and Jack to continue alone.

Since then the only rivalry of relevance Swagger has been placed in was against Rusev, it had a great story and there was a good build up to it, but the final product wasn't what anyone expected and Swagger came out on the losing end.

Rumours have surfaced over the past few days that "The all American American" is about to come to the end of his WWE contract and the company are not prepared to re-sign him.
The thought is that places like TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and many others could all be after the former All State Champion if WWE are prepared to let him go.
A report last night suggested that WWE had already released the former US Champion but they had decided to let it be a quiet dismissal and nothing has been released on WWE.com as of yet.
This morning more fuel was added to the fire when Swagger removed his @RealJackSwagger Twitter account. There has still been no comment from WWE as regards to Swaggers contract status and whether or not he is still a part of the roster.
WWE could have lost one of the most technically gifted wrestlers to grace a WWE stage if rumours are to be believed and Swagger will go down in history as one of the most underutilized wrestlers the company ever signed.
With the likes of Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio already out the door this year, if specualtion is to be believed, it will be sad to see Jack join the list, but once again WWE have no idea what to do with superstars with such unique talents and hopefully another company will suit him better.
