Why all 3 promoted clubs can stay up this season

Published 2 Comments

Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich City have possibly the strongest squads of any trio promoted to the Premier League for years.

Norwich have some quality young English players such as Liverpool-linked, Nathan Redmond, while Watford have three proven goalscorers - Odion Ighalo, Matej Vydra and Troy Deeney.

Bournemouth won the Championship title last season, with an established Premier League goalkeeper in Artur Boruc, a prolific finisher who cost the Cherries £3 million in  Callum Wilson as well as Scotland's latest star, Matt Ritchie.

New signings

These quality squads already have been complimented with some expensive, but worthwile additions - Bournemouth have devised a brilliant defensive partnership of Sylvain Distin and Tyrone Mings, along with Christian Atsu, on-loan from Chelsea.

Watford have made big name signings such as Etienne Capoue from Tottenham along with Jose Holebas and Valon Behrami.

Norwich have been less busy in the transfer market as of yet, but will surely make a few more signings before the end of the transfer window. The two they have made are proven in the Premier League - Youssouf Mulumbu and Graham Dorrans, previously of West Bromwich Albion.

Relegation candidates

Clubs such as Aston Villa, who have lost their captain Fabian Delph to Manchester City and will seemingly lose Benteke to Liverpool, are staring relegation in the face.

West Brom have lost key player, Mulumbu without signing a replacement and have only made one signing in the window so far.

Leicester have 'second season syndrome' to worry about, whereas lacklustre Sunderland must also work hard to beat the drop this season.

Exciting times

This season could be the first since 2001/02 where all three promoted teams manage to stay up. It would be great for the league to see different teams strengthened and weakened and it is very difficult to guess, even more difficult than in recent years, who will beat the drop and who will go down.

Who do you think will go down this season? Can all three promoted teams survive? Give us YOUR opinion in the comment box below!
