Newcastle United seem to have finally tied up a a £13million deal to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht, after much deliberation and many stalling points.
The Serbian striker was due to have his medical at the weekend, and it was reported last week that Newcastle had agreed a fee for the Serbian striker.
All of the reports suggested that it was Mitrovic's father who was the reason behind the Serbian stalling on the deal, as he thought that Mitrovic could do better than Newcastle. Porto and Roma had been continuously linked with Mitrovic but could never meet the £13m that Newcastle have agreed for him.

Whether it is couldn't or wouldn't is something to be thought about by Newcastle fans, all we know is that they are getting a fantastic player who is the kind of striker that Geordies love; a goal poaching big man who is dominant in the air.
Young and hungry
Mitrovic is a very good player at the tender age of 20-years-old but has been known to be a bit of a character. He has been likened to Mario Balotelli in a lot of ways, as he is a young striker with a lot of potential but a habit of mischievousness.

As well as this happening, many of the reports suggest that Mitrovic's teammate Chancel Mbemba will be joining him on Tyneside. Chancel Mbemba is a 20-year-old Congolese international centre-back who has made quite an impression this past season at Anderlecht.
It has been reported that Newcastle will pay around £7m for Mbemba, with Steven McClaren hoping to add a brand new dimension to Newcastle. They are young, hungry and very talented.
This seems to be the way Newcastle are going with their transfer business over recent years as last year they signed Ayoze Perez, who is very similar, and this year they have already landed Georginio Wijnaldum, who is just 24 and already an accomplished Dutch international.
These signings prove that Newcastle are not messing around in this year's transfer window. That will make it three great signings already for the Magpies, and will take their summer spending to just shy of £40m.
This is great news for Newcastle fans as their owner Mike Ashley promised to spend money, but, understandably, most fans didn't believe him. Now he is spending cash and there is more to be spent, it seems as though they London business tycoon has finally decided to take an interest in his football club.
