Mesut Ozil produced a fine individual performance against Everton in the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy on Saturday afternoon - and celebrated by treating the Arsenal fans to more magic after the full-time whistle.
While waiting to collect his winners medal, the technically-gifted Germany international was filmed performing kick-ups not with a football, but with a piece of tape. (To watch the footage, scroll down this page to the first embedded YouTube video).
Ozil did several kick-ups with his favoured left foot, kept the tape up via his knees, then momentarily balanced it on the back of his neck before losing control.

It was Maradona-esque from Ozil, who looked full of confidence against the Toffees and even managed to get himself on the scoresheet.
The 2015-16 campaign promises to be a pivotal one for the World Cup winner after two mixed seasons with the Gunners following his £42.4 million move from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
Ozil looks fresh and rejuvenated
Ozil flattered to deceive during his debut campaign with the north London outfit and was still unconvincing during the first half of last season. However, his performances picked up in the final months of the 2014-15 campaign, which culminated in Ozil winning his second successive FA Cup winners’ medal.
Ozil looks rejuvenated by his recent break from football and ready to begin the 2015-16 campaign with a bang.
As well as his brilliant skill with the piece of tape, Ozil was also filmed embarrassing his teammate Laurent Koscielny with this lovely skill in training last week.
Big season coming up for Ozil
In terms of pure technical ability, there are few players - if any - in the Arsenal squad better than Ozil.
The problem for the German has been his substandard performances in some of Arsenal’s key matches, his lackadaisical body language and his reluctance to do his fair share of defensive work.
But as his performances improved during the second half of last season, so too did his body language.
If Ozil can replicate the world-class performances he often produced for Real Madrid next season, Arsenal will stand a real chance of ending their long wait for the Premier League title.
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time Ozil has been filmed juggling an object other than a football.
Shortly after his arrival at the Emirates Stadium, he was recorded during an Arsenal warm-up kicking a piece of chewing gum back into his mouth.
