Stones wants move
If you’ve been reading the newspaper for the past week you’ll be all too aware that Chelsea are keen on striking a deal for Everton’s John Stones.
It’s said Jose Mourinho wants him as John Terry’s replacement, they’ve already had a bid rejected, blah blah blah. You know the score. Well, the latest serious update on the saga is that Stones himself reportedly wants to move to Stamford Bridge.

The Standard today claim that the England youngster won’t issue a transfer request to Roberto Martinez, but is hopeful that an agreement can be reached.
In that report Champions League football and the chance to play for the Premier League title holders are cited as the decisive factors, which seems reasonable given that Stones is young and ambitious.
One obvious obstacle is the fact that Mourinho already has John Terry, Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma on his books, and all of them are arguably more experienced than Stones.
Luis transfer agreed
Elsewhere it now seems Filipe Luis’ Chelsea career is set to be ended after just 12 months. Numerous reports state that the Blues have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid for his return, with just formalities needing to be smoothed over.
Luis only featured a handful of times for Mourinho last term, with Cesar Azpilicueta the preferred option for the Special One following the departure of Ashley Cole to AS Roma.
If he does head back to Spain it will mark a disappointing transfer endeavour from Chelsea, although it’s said they could recoup just as much as the paid for him.
Lastly it’s been reported that Patrick Bamford has joined Crystal Palace on loan, with the striker looking to build on last season’s successful spell with Middlesbrough.
Bamford was left out of Mourinho’s pre-season squad for Chelsea’s tour of the US in favour of Dominic Solanke, with this campaign sure to be his big chance to impress.
