Chelsea have received two enquiries for versatile defender Nathan Ake.

The Daily Mail claims both Stuttgart and Borussia Monchengladbach have approached the Blues over bringing the 20-year-old to Germany on a temporary deal, although there is also Premier League interest in the player.

Leicester City have been hoping to bring the player to the Walkers' Stadium following Claudio Ranieri's arrival in the Midlands, although the Foxes are also keen on 23-year-old Spaniard Oriol Romeu.

Interest from the Bundesliga duo could put a spanner in the works regarding their pursuit of Ake though, and the paper claims the youngster is eager to follow in the footsteps of Andreas Christensen and test himself in the German top-flight.

The Danish centre back has agreed a season-long loan deal with Monchengladbach, and could spend 24-months at Stadion im Borussia-Park if things go to plan.

Another young exit

Ake would be one of several players to leave Stamford Bridge if manager Jose Mourinho does allow the player to leave, with Jordan Houghton the latest player out of the door yesterday. The U21 captain joined Gillingham in League One.

He doesn't have first-team experience though, and that's something Ake brings to the table after featuring at least once in the Premier League for Chelsea over the past three seasons. He also enjoyed a one-month loan spell at Reading towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

Unlike some of the youngsters in west London, it does seem like Ake has a long-term future with the Blues. But, with game time set to be limited once again this season if he remains on the King's Road, a temporary move across Europe might be ideal for both parties.

Do you think Ake has a long-term future at Chelsea? Is a loan to germany the best move for his career? Give us YOUR opinion in the comment box below!
