With John Cena and Kevin Owen's rivalry coming to an end, it leaves fans wondering, where does he go from here?
Rivalry with Owens
Over the last few months, Cena has been embroiled in a rivalry with Kevin Owens, which has produced some spectacular matches. It all started when Cena issued one of his US Title open challenges, with Owens coming down to the ring and surprising Cena with a pop up powerbomb.
The rivalry developed well, the two stars fed off each other well, creating an interesting dynamic. Their matches were some of the best the WWE has seen in years, with Cena eventually coming out on top of two of the three bouts.

After what should be their final match of the rivalry at Battleground just a few nights ago, it poses the question of where does Cena go now?
What's next for Cena?
For around 10 years, John Cena has been the face of the WWE, however this seems to be changing. With the veteran currently holding the US title, fighting in the mid card it seems like WWE have finally decided now is the time to pass the responsibility on to someone else.
This has left Cena fighting in the mid card, however he has been consistently providing extremely entertaining matches against any opponent he has faced.
With his matches against Kevin Owens all going down as instant classics, the 15 time World Champ needs a new opponent, someone who can provide equally stiff competition.
I think this will be Cesaro. With Tyson Kidd out for the foreseeable future, Cesaro is left without his tag team partner and judging by the amazing match Cena and Cesaro had the other week I think this would make for an amazing rivalry.
Quality of matches
The quality of John Cena's matches as of late have been rising back to the level that we saw a couple of years ago, when he was at the top of his game. Credit has to go to both Cena and Kevin Owens for providing the competition that he needed to rise back to that level.
I think Cesaro has the in-ring ability to maintain that level of competition if not push it even higher than it was before. If WWE creative have any sense they will see that this is the way to go.
As for whether or not he should keep the title I think it goes two ways. I think there are a number of superstars that would be worthy of holding the title, however if they take the title away from Cena I'm not sure what they can do with him that they haven't already done.
What do you guys think? Should Cena be thrown into a rivalry with Cesaro? Who should get the title?
