Late July is eagerly awaited by NFL and Madden fans alike to discover how the newest additions to their rosters stack-up against rival organisations.
Last year's highest rated player was the number one overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney, linebacker for the Houston Texans.
Clowney went on to have an injury-ravaged season and rarely appeared alongside star player, JJ Watt, and is primed to be a candidate for rebound player this season.
Madden 16 cover star is 2015 Rookie of the Year, and freak of nature, the incredible Odell Beckham Junior - who started with a rating of 75 - saw his ratings sky-rocket after THAT catch but like this year's Rookies, disputed his rating:
So who is the top Rookie in Madden 16? Drum roll please...
It's WR Amari Cooper, fourth overall pick by the Oakland Raiders out of Alabama with a rating of 82 OVR, second only amongst rookies for catching to Chicago Bears' Kevin White and will be Derek Carr's primary receiver.
Cooper wasn't far off his rating when asked by EA Sports for what he believed his rating should be, believing he should be rated at a fair 86.
"That'll go up," states Cooper
He wasn't however the Rookie who got their prediction wrong the most; step forward Phillip Dorsett, the 29th pick by the Indianapolis Colts at wide receiver whose ego predicted 95 - the same as stud Bengals WR, AJ Green in Madden 15.
He thought his actual rating was so wrong he found it funny.
Surprisingly, neither Jameis Winston nor Marcus Mariota - first and second picks - won the honour of top rookie, but the Buccs' new signal-caller won the rookie Quarterback battle with 81 OVR.
The honour is not enough for Winston, who took issue with his rating, and has given his own Madden rating after breaking down why 81 was so wrong.
The Top 10 Rookie rating on EA Sports' Madden 16:
