With Jose Mourinho announcing that Chelsea are selling Filipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid just a year after he moved to London, the blues now have a hole that needs filling before the season starts.

The Guardian have reported that the Blues are interested in signing FC Augsberg full-back, Abdul Baba Rahman, 21.

The Ghanaian international reportedly has an offer to join Roma but is holding out for the Premier League Champions to make a move for his signature.

With Luis heading out of Stamford Bridge, Baba Rahman is the ideal replacement.

Baba Rahman would fit into Mourinho's system quite nicely as the blues are not in search of a starting left-back, but more so for cover for Azpilicueta and a future first team starter.

The Ghanaian is a solid one-on-one defender with great pace, and enjoys joining the attack. With that description, it becomes clear as to why Mourinho wants to bring him to London.

Not only is the Augsberg full-back young and full of exciting potential, but he also boasts a decent amount of first-team experience in one of Europe's top leagues. The Ghanain international has also been capped eleven times for his country up to this point.

Taking everything into account, with Mourinho's squad in need of a left-back before the Premier League season gets under way, Abdul Baba Rahman seems like the perfect installment for an ever improving Chelsea side.
