Adrian Peterson looking ripped and ready for the upcoming season

Recent photos have emerged of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson looking ripped and ready for the upcoming season.

The running back was suspended for the majority of last season because he was involved in allegations of child abuse.

From September 2014, to April this year, Peterson has not been allowed to go anywhere near a Vikings training facility because of his suspension, or because he was on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list.

When April came around, the 2012 NFL MVP was reinstated, but he still didn’t go to any of the Vikings’ OTAs till June as he was unhappy with the state of his contract.

Judging by some recent snaps though, you would find it tough to tell anyone that Peterson has missed any training time at all because of his physique.

This is the look of a guy that is ready for the season ahead for the Vikings, who are deemed dark horse for the playoffs this year.

This also looks like a guy who is ready to have another crack of breaking Eric Dickerson’s record of the most rushing yards in a single season (2,105), something which he was only eight yards away from in 2012 (2,097).

These pictures were apparently taken on July 15, before Peterson signed his newly restricted deal with the Vikings. Details for that deal can be found here.

I was asked the other day if I would take Peterson as my first pick for my fantasy team. I think these photos have reassured me that he is going to perform in the purple and gold this season and that if I did pick him, it would pay off.
