Since Brock Lesnar has been removed from the title picture, the WWE seem to be lacking a contender for Seth Rollins WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Lack of Contenders
With WWE pulling Lesnar away from the title by starting a rivalry with The Undertaker, you take a look at the current roster and think, who is there that could actually compete for the title?
There are no superstars that aren't currently in rivalries that can take the open contender spot, so you have to wonder what WWE are going to do here.

With John Cena currently wrapped up in the US title (although it does look like they are setting a match up between Cena and Rollins for SummerSlam) it is unlikely that he will be competing for the big title.
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose essentially the two other superstars that could fight for the title however they're stuck fighting Bray Wyatt and his reconstructed family.

So that leaves us with the question of who is going to step up and fight for the title in the coming months?
Apparently WWE realised that they didn't have the solution to this problem, so they are going to pit John Cena against Seth Rollins in a Champion VS Champion match at SummerSlam. This will be an amazing match as they are two extremely talented superstars.
If they do this, it is for one of two reasons. The first reason is that they don't have anyone that can fight for the title and they are using this as a cop out until they can find someone to fight Rollins for the title.
The second reason is that they are using this as an oppourtunity for Sheamus to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase..
Both options are equally poor. Really WWE shouldn't be struggling for talent the way that they are.
They have plenty of superstars down in NXT, however they are being kept down there for way too long. This combined with the amount of top band superstars they have been letting go over the last few yeats (like Alberto Del Rio) leaves them with a severe shortage of quality wrestlers.
With the way that they are going, WWE are going to find themselves in serious trouble soon. With ratings sliding and no clear way to stop the slump, they are going to have to pull something out of the hat.
