John Cena has revealed his dream opponent in the ring would be Stone Cold Steve Austin.
The United States Champion revealed in an interview with FOX 411 that his dream match would be against the WWE Hall of Famer.
He said when asked who he'd want to face in the ring, dead or alive: “Stone Cold Steve Austin because he was truly inspiration to me. Our audience wouldn’t mind seeing that.

"In the same breath there are some present stars that I haven’t faced off with. Hopefully, down the line I look forward to facing those new faces.”
It would be exciting to see Cena in a match against Stone Cold. Obviously, if it ever does occur, it will be held at WrestleMania, just like his two matches against Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
Cena was asked if he was the next Dwayne Johnson, which he said: “There is only one Dwayne Johnson. What Dwayne has done is absolutely fantastic.
"He had a vision when he was here at WWE. He promotes like a mad man. We’ll see how I do with John Cena before I can be mentioned in the company of Dwyane Johnson.”
Cena has also said in recent interviews with Fast Company that he would like to pursuit more acting roles outside the WWE, just like The Rock.
The United States Champion has recently starred in a movie called Trainwreck alongside Amy Schumer, Bill Hader, and Lebron James. He is also currently filming another movie called Sisters.
“I’ve been actively trying to extend my reach beyond WWE. I wanted to do some non-action related projects, stuff that will resonate with different audiences who might not know who I am," he said.
Before he eventually leaves the WWE, I hope he has his dream match with Stone Cold. The best setting could be at WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas, Stone Cold's home state.
