WWE: Kurt Angle wants to face Daniel Bryan in his retirement match

Published 20 Comments

Former WWE star Kurt Angle has revealed that he would like to face Daniel Bryan in his last match.

Dream Match

According to a report from Wrestling Inc, Angle took to his own official website to talk about dream matches, who is favorite people were to wrestle and wrestlers he wished he could have competed against during his career.

When the conversation turned to people who he would love to face, one name immediately popped up, Daniel Bryan.

"Epic matches in the future? The first that comes to mind is Daniel Bryan," Angle said in the interview.

"He is Shawn Michaels reborn. I would love to retire against a wrestler I believe has won over the hearts of millions of fans. How did he win their hearts?"

Match of the Century

Angle went on to state that if he was given a 30-minute match with a wrestler of Bryan's caliber at a Pay-Per-View event, it would be an incredible spectacle and a definite Match of the Century candidate.

"He's that good. Give me 30 minutes with Daniel Bryan and I will give you the match of the century."

WWE Return?

Does this mean that Angle is angling for a return to the WWE? There would be no way that Vince McMahon, Triple H and co would let Bryan go to TNA for one night only so it seems that Angle would need to be in the WWE to make it happen.

However, Triple H has already rejected Angle once. When the wrestler's contract was up earlier this year Vince McMahon had an interest to bring him back for a year, but Hunter completely refused it.

For a one off match, who knows. But at the moment things don't look good for an Angle-Bryan match.
