Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has hinted that star man Eden Hazard could eventually replace John Terry as the club's captain, reports the London Evening Standard.
Terry, of course, is approaching the latter stages of his career at Stamford Bridge, and Mourinho seemingly believes Hazard could be his successor.
The Belgian international is recognised as one of the leading players in world football, so will no doubt be hoping to lead from the front once again in the upcoming campaign.

And Mourinho has hailed his versatile midfielder, as he stated: "On the pitch he leads. He is not afraid to take responsibility. He is not afraid to get the team in a dark situation and bring blue sky again for the team. He is not afraid of this.
"He is a guy with great discipline. He is not the kind of guy you see setting bad examples and so on.

"So I think he can be a leader. His ambition is coming, he is also the vice-captain of the Belgian national team. He is in his fourth season at Chelsea so he didn’t arrive yesterday.
"Eden is coming with big status now and was voted one of the top ten players in Europe last year.
"In my opinion he should be in the top three not in the top ten. Let’s see what is going to happen but we have these people. But let’s say John and Branislav are our captains and the others are ready to come."
£26m Stones bid imminent
Chelsea are set to make a second offer in the region of £26 million for Everton defender John Stones.
This has been reported by the Mirror, who claim that the Stamford Bridge outfit are ready to step up their interest in the England international after seeing their first move rejected.
Mourinho, of course, is seemingly determined to find a long term replacement for captain John Terry, who is approaching the latte stages of his career.
Salah on his way
It remains to be seen as to whether the Blues manage to secure the services of Stones in this transfer window, but it appears that Mohamed Salah won't be starring in west London next term.
Mourinho has confirmed that there isn't a place in his squad for the wide-man, who spent last season out on loan at Italian outfit Fiorentina.
"He doesn't belong to my squad and he's not staying here," Mourinho told reporters, as relayed by Goal.com.
