We have all become accustomed to seeing Fernando Alonso on the Formula One grid, whether it be in a McLaren, Renault or Ferrari, however this may be coming to an end.
Thinking of the Future?
In a recent interview with BBC Sport, Fernando Alonso admitted that over the last few years Formula One had lost some of its appeal and he was starting to consider a move to a different Formula.
The direct quote is as follows "I love motorsport, all categories, and F1 is not as exciting as it was in the past - at least for me."

Alonso has been one of the more vocal drivers over the last year, having a lot to say about the recent rule changes and not much of it is nice. Earlier in the year Alonso, in a different interview, told reporters that he thought the sport had gone backwards, and he wasn't happy with future plans and rule changes
What does this mean for McLaren Honda?
So this may leave many of you thinking what this means for his future with McLaren Honda, however the two-time World Champion covered this also.

"Right now, there is huge motivation and a fantastic project that I am in with McLaren-Honda,my first go-kart was a McLaren-Honda replica and I am in a real McLaren-Honda, so I am enjoying this process of getting competitive starting from zero."
So this could mean that he could be sticking with the sport until his contract with McLaren expires in 2017, at the end of which he would be 36.
Should Alonso leave?
I think Fernando Alonso is one of the most talented drivers on the grid, and if he left Formula One for another formula it would be a massive loss.
When Alonso has a good car beneath him, he can produce some great racing. However when he has a great car under him he can produce some spectacular racing.
If Alonso was able to get a race seat (whether this be at McLaren or not) that was able to provide him with a car that could compete with the likes of the Ferrari's, the sport would become that much more interesting as we would have yet another driver pulling off spectacular overtakes at the top of the order.
As for moving to a different Formula, I think this could definitley work in his favour. Alonso is one of the most skilled drivers in motorsport, so if he was to move to something like Formula E, I think he would dominate the sport.
As a fan of bold overtaking moves I would love to see Alonso stay in Formula One until he retires, but what do you guys think should he stay or should he go?
