Azkargorta - Emery still the man

New Valencia sporting director Xabier Azkargorta has confirmed Unai Emery remains the club´s coach despite speculation linking them with a move for Spain´s European Championship-winning tactician Luis Aragones.

Despite Valencia only appointing former Almeria boss Emery as their new coach earlier this summer, Spanish media reports on Monday suggested Los Che were looking to bring in Aragones, who took over at Turkish giants Fenerbahce following Euro 2008.

However, Azkargorta, who was unveiled as Valencia´s new sporting director on Monday, insists Emery is still the man in the hotseat, saying: "Obviously Unai (Emery) has been surprised by this news, and me as well, but our coach is Unai and we are working with him."
