WWE: Which feuds could make Kevin Owens an even bigger heel?

Published 3 Comments

One of the most popular superstars over the last few months has been Kevin Owens, as the former NXT Champion caused a stir from the moment he arrived on Monday Night Raw.

The Rise of Owens

He took out the United States Champion John Cena on his first appearances and the two went on to put on some epic performances, concluding with John Cena picking up the final victory.

Their brilliant feud ended at Battleground where Owens survived a number of Attitude Adjustments, but fell victim to the STF where he was left with no choice but to submit.

That decision hasn’t really sat well with Owens’ fans.

It does show that it took Cena everything to defeat Owens, but fans probably would have preferred the Attitude Adjustment off the top rope being the moment Cena retained his crown. However, that feud is now in the past and Owens is currently in a programme with Cesaro.

Being a heel comes naturally to Owens, we saw that down on NXT and we’ve seen memorable heel moments on the independent scene. He’s a unique type of heel, even against other heels he’s always trying to be worse than them.

The WWE can’t afford to waste his talents doing next to nothing, once his feud with Cesaro is over.

There are a lot of superstars Owens could take on, where it would help elevate Owens and his heel persona; here are the men I believe Owens should feud with in the near future.

I feel this is a feud we will definitely some point down the line, if it happened right now I imagine it would play out the same way the feud with Cena played out.

The fans won’t instantly be booing Owens though, as the majority of them are yet to be won over by Reigns.

When Reigns does eventually win over his doubters and establishes himself as World Championship material again, then the situation would be different. Once that occurs, we can expect Owens to bring out the best heel tendencies possible.

This is a feud which would definitely have the fans boo Kevin Owens. It’s simple, the WWE Universe loves Dean Ambrose regardless of what he does.

As much as this would benefit Owens as a heel, it would also benefit Ambrose as a face; as he desperately needs an entertaining singles feud and Owens would be the perfect opponent for the fans to be fully invested in it.

Who know what the plan is for Ambrose, as well as Owens once he’s done with Cesaro. The WWE should definitely be thinking to have these two go at it in the coming months.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but if this is The Undertaker’s final year in the WWE then it would be great for Owens to try and get another big name feud under his belt.

The Undertaker will be left with limited options after Brock Lesnar. Perhaps he’ll get the beast again at WrestleMania, and Sting is also an option and the WWE could try and have someone younger mix it up with The Deadman.

This feud would definitely make Owens the biggest heel in the company, certainly challenging Seth Rollins for the title of being the biggest heel.

This is another feud which would draw nuclear heat for Owens, because the WWE Universe loves Bryan too much.

Bryan has revealed that he has been cleared to compete, but the WWE are afraid to book him again. It remains doubtful that he’ll simply sit on the side-lines as he’s too popular to do that.

Returning and having Owens gate crash his party would leave the fans with no choice but to hate him.

This might be similar to The Undertaker, but Owens has revealed his dream opponent would be Brock Lesnar and anything can happen in the WWE.

Lesnar is a star attraction, whether it’s as a face or a heel and the fans will quickly chant his name once he’s reverted back to a face.

Lesnar will also be on the hunt for new superstars once he’s done with The Undertaker, and Owens is someone who won’t back down.
