As seen on Sky Sports, the Dutch manager said: “You can ask that every week, but it is the same answer, maybe you know? I don’t know that either."
When Van Gaal was questions of Laurent Blanc's recent comments that a deal was close, he shot back: "“I don’t know because I’m not the same manager as Laurent Blanc, I don’t want to answer these questions.
“With Manchester United, we shall announce something when it is already done and not when it isn't done, because it’s a process.I have said that many times. We will have to wait and see and I don’t want to interfere.”

It appears Di Maria's time in Manchester is up after just one season in the Premier League following his club record £59.7 million move from Real Madrid. Former United defender, Blanc, is sure a deal is close despite Manchester United wanting more than the offered fee of £29m.
Despite a strong start to the season, that saw the 27-year-old score three goals in his first five games, his performances on the pitch dropped as he managed to notch one more goal all season, a 90th minute goal at League One side Yeovil Town.
A combination of problems on and off the field were to blame as the Argentinian and his family failed to adapt to life in the North West, and he ended the season as back up to the resurgent Ashley Young.
With Young set to sign a new contract at Old Trafford and Memphis Depay arriving from PSV, United appear to have their two wide options ahead of the new campaign, with Di Maria's future being elsewhere.
Club legend Gary Neville has sounded a warning to his old club on twitter, saying they should not be allowing the wide man to leave without an adequate replacement coming in and the club have been strongly linked with a £22m move for Barcelona player Pedro.
The Red Devils finished their pre-season schedule with a 2-0 defeat to PSG in the early hours of the morning and kick-off their Premier League campaign at home to Tottenham in nine days.
