Kurt Angle has revealed Brock Lesnar is one of the toughest opponents he has ever faced in the ring.
In a recent Facebook Q&A posted on his website kurtanglebrand.com, the former WWE Superstar answered several fan questions including ‘Who was a tougher opponent in terms of in-ring skills – Brock Lesnar or Stone Cold Steve Austin?’
He replied: “Lesnar and Austin. Who was tougher? That’s a difficult question. Austin was aggressive and physical. He was always pressing me. Lesnar is a beast, an animal, a rare breed. They dominated in different ways.

“Both are rugged. But who frightens me more? Lesnar.”
Who can blame him. Going up against Lesnar in the ring would certainly frighten me, and so would going up against Angle. The two wrestling legends put on some amazing performers when they were in the WWE at the same time.
Who could forget their epic match at WrestleMania XIX in 2003, where Lesnar attempted to perform the shooting star press off the top rope. Lesnar missed Angle and damaged his neck, but still carried on the match.
He eventually won the match for the WWE Championship. This was also Lesnar’s first WrestleMania.
Kurt Angle also answered the question, ‘Who is the wrestler that reminds you of yourself?’
He said: “I have yet to see a wrestler that has reminded me of myself. There is a lot of great talent out there. Is there another Kurt Angle?? Not yet. But there are tremendous talents in the business.”
Angle also revealed how he was doing since his neck surgery and when he should be back in the ring with TNA.
“I’m doing ok from my neck surgery. I had complications but I should be ready to go by early September,” he said.
The hope for this writer is that Angle is back in the ring soon, and maybe he returns to the WWE one final time, for one final feud against Brock Lesnar. Wouldn't that be epic?
