It's something that may well be worrying Manchester United fans...what does Louis van Gaal have planned for Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera?
Ultimately, throughout the course of pre-season so far, the Dutch boss has more often than not gone with a front six of Michael Carrick, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney.
So where does that leave Herrera, who was brilliant at the back-end of last season? Of course, it wasn't easy for the dynamic midfielder upon his arrival at Old Trafford, too.

Van Gaal, as he went about implementing in his philosophy at the club, didn't seem to fancy the club's big-money signing too much. Often, the United boss left Herrera on the bench despite pleas from the fans to play him on a more regular basis.
The fans eventually got their way, and Herrera was selected week in, week out as Manchester United started to find some rhythm to their play in 2014/15.
But now, with the duo of Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger having been recruited, Herrera may have moved back down the pecking order at the club. That's if pre-season is to go by anyway.
Of course, Van Gaal knows what he's getting from Herrera and he may well have wanted to see what his new players could bring to the side, but it's slightly surprising that Herrera's involvement in the US tour was so limited.
In Herrera, Manchester United have a wonderful talent, who brings a touch of class and versatility to the team. When in the same side as fellow Spanaird Juan Mata, too, United play some quite brilliant football.
With great intelligence and work ethic, Herrera brings so much to the United side. He also brings a great deal of creativity and goals to the United side. His goals to shots ratio last time round was quite brilliant.
Let's be honest, though, the United boss clearly believes Herrera has something missing, which is surprising considering his form towards the end of last season. You have to feel with European football on the horizon for the Red Devils next term, the Spanish ace will get his opportunity to shine once again.
It's now just one week until Van Gaal's side are set to line up against Tottenham for the Premier League curtain raiser, but will Herrera be involved? Van Gaal is usually full of surprises, but who knows...
Herrera may well have to prove himself all over again in a Manchester United shirt.
