Portugal captain Nuno Gomes has urged his team-mates not to imitate Germany by engaging in mind games ahead of Thursday´s Euro 2008 quarter-final showdown in Basle.

Experienced Germany duo Jens Lehmann and Michael Ballack have cranked up the pressure on the Portuguese, the goalkeeper claiming he knows the secret behind stopping Cristiano Ronaldo and the midfielder making the Iberians favourites to reach the last four.

"We don´t want to go down that path," said the Benfica striker.
