Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli has not been included in the squad to face Swindon Town today reports the Daily Mail.
Instead the Anfield striker was left at the Liverpool training base at Melwood as his teammates prepared to face the League One side.
Balotelli’s future at Liverpool looks all but over with a number of Italian and Middle Eastern sides reportedly jostling for his signature. His £16m move from AC Milan has been a disaster on pretty much every front, and it’s unlikely many Liverpool fans will be upset should he leave the club later this month.

Serie A outfit Bologna are keen to sign him but there’s concern over Liverpool’s asking price and Balotelli’s wage demands. Other options include a link-up with Gianfranco Zola in Qatar, although that would be a bizarre move for a 24-year-old still approaching the prime of his career.
On Instagram this morning, Balotelli said: “On the way to training…puma vs hawk.”
The rest of the Liverpool first-team had beaten HJK Helsinki the night before 2-0 thanks to goals from Divock Origi and Coutinho.
Balotelli was not included in that squad, while those who didn't get a proper run out against HJK take on Swindon this afternoon - although Balotelli’s not involved in that either. Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke are both involved.
It really does seem the writing is on the wall for Balotelli, and the question remains now just how much can Liverpool recoup for his services between now and the close of the transfer window.
What do you think Liverpool fans - what would be a fair price for Balotelli’s sale this month?
