John Terry had an outstanding 2014-15 season as he led Chelsea to another Premier League title. He played every single minute of the title winning campaign, which is quite astonishing for a player who is on the wrong side of 30, while also grabbing a place in the PFA team of the season.
But, at 34, the centre-back is not getting any younger and Chelsea will have to eventually replace their captain. Who will replace him at Stamford Bridge?

1. Kurt Zouma
Already a Chelsea man, this 20 year-old has what it takes to be the 'next John Terry'. His breakthrough 2014-15 season earned him Chelsea's Young Player of the Year award.
He can also play as a defensive midfielder as well as a full-back which makes him an asset to the team. We can expect to see more of Zouma in the upcoming season as the Blues prepare themselves to defend their title. With age on his side Zouma is truly a long term replacement for Terry.

2. John Stones
The player has been constantly linked with Chelsea this transfer window. Everton have reportedly declined two bids of £20 million and £26 million from the Premier League champions.
Stones had been a regular for the Toffees last term and put some commanding displays, particularly in the big games. He is a stopper who can break as well as make the play and will certainly benefit from playing under Jose Mourinho who is a master of organising his defence.
3. Raphael Varane
One of the hottest properties in European football, the French centre-back was a favourite of Mourinho when he managed Real Madrid. However, his game time reduced under Carlo Ancelotti and with the appointment of a new manager in Rafa Benitez this season, it remains to be seen whether Varane will be able to dislodge either Sergio Ramos or Pepe from the heart of the Madrid defence.
Surely he will not come for cheap and Los Blancos will definitely try their best to keep the stopper at Madrid. At just 22 age of years, he became the youngest player to captain the France national team which is a remarkable feat.
4. Aymeric Laporte
Here is another French player who makes the cut. Currently plying his trade for Athletic Bilbao, he has been making waves with his performances during the last couple of seasons.
He is wanted by a number of clubs across Europe including the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid. Laporte can either play in left-back or centre-back and his pace combined with rock solid tackles is a rare gift for a defender of such a young age.
