Gimmicks are an important thing in the WWE, some men have dropped a very successful one and moved to a less effective one whilst some have done the exact opposite.
Bray Wyatt is unrecognisable from his days as Husky Harris as part of the Nexus while Damien Sandow hasn't been popular since losing the role of being the Miz's stunt double.
How to save himself
Adam Rose is one such character who arguably went from being at the top of his game in NXT but then didn't have a great transition when he moved to the main roster.

He became part of a tag team with Brad Maddox on Saturday night at a WWE live event, but could a return to his NXT character be a better move?
For those unfamiliar, Rose was known as Leo Kruger on NXT and played the part to perfection in an almost eerily similar fashion to Bray Wyatt these days.

Rose's former character is the reason why many have tipped him to join up with the newly reunited Wyatt family which was rumoured to be looking for a new member ahead of Summer Slam.
For anyone unfamiliar with Kruger, here is a small example of his backstage promos.
Assuming the role of the maniacal foreign star, I believe that Kruger offered the positives of both Bray Wyatt and Rusev without suffering from their weaknesses.
Could it work?
Both Rusev and Wyatt have had relative success, Rusev has played his part as the invading foreigner who is against America to perfection.
He was easy to build up as the unstoppable force due to his athletic ability but the problem with that whole idea is, after he loses one match, he instantly becomes less attractive - putting him in a love triangle also didn't help.
Wyatt on the other hand has captivated the WWE Universe with his incredible mic skills and unique in ring ability.
Wyatt's downfall however is that while the WWE put so much emphasis on sending the right message to the fans, he is doomed to fail on the big stages.
Kruger combines the foreign element of Rusev while avoiding the anti- USA sentiment and contains the creepiness of Wyatt without sending the same message.
How to bring him in
The predominant theory is that if Kruger is set to come to the main roster, he will enter as part of the Wyatt family.
This really would be the perfect way to do it but he wouldn't last long acting as just a backdrop to Bray Wyatt's promos.
However with Wyatt and Kruger's ability to talk, it could make for a fantastic angle which sees him either try and take over the stable, or rebel against it.
There would be a lot of potential should the WWE elect to bring Kruger back, but his recent teaming with Maddox could show that they're looking in a different direction.
Then again, Rose did tweet an interesting image several days ago so who really knows what the plan is?
