The Rock has shown his appreciation to Kevin Owens and Finn Balor after their match together at The Beast in the East event which took place last month.
WWE fan Marty DeRosa tweeted The People’s Champion and Owens after spotting the two on separate magazine covers whilst in a grocery store yesterday.
The tweet said ‘Always nice running into @TheRock @FightOwensFight at the grocery store.’

The Great One responded to the tweet and showed his appreciation towards Owens and the man he lost the NXT Championship to, Balor, for their fight in Japan.
He said: “@MartyDeRosa @FightOwensFight Awesome. Keep up the great work KO. (watched your match w @wwebalor from Japan - incredible).”
Indeed it was a great match. The Rock is referring to the match between the two superstars that was shown on the WWE Network in a special event called ‘The Beast in the East’ which took place at Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan.
This was where Owens lost the NXT Championship, and where The Demon won his first ever title in his WWE career.
Also at the event was Brock Lesnar, hence the name of the event, as he took on Kofi Kingston in a squash match. He also demolished the rest of New Day after the match was over.
To receive recognition from a great WWE superstar like The Rock shows these two future stars are definitely on the right course. Owens is already fitting in well on the main roster as he plans to take on Cesaro at SummerSlam, and it’s only a matter of time before Balor is called up as well.
Owens responded to the Rock with a tweet of his own.
Owens and Balor are set to meet the night before SummerSlam at the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event on August 22 for a rematch for the NXT Championship.
