Pavlyuchenko blow for Russia

Russia´s Euro 2008 hopes suffered a further setback on Thursday with the news that Roman Pavlyuchenko is struggling with a leg injury.

The 26-year-old Spartak Moscow striker picked up a muscle injury in training and is a doubt for Saturday´s crucial Group D clash with Greece.

Pavlyuchenko scored Russia´s only goal in their 4-1 reverse to Spain on Tuesday, a defeat that leaves Guus Hiddink´s troops with an uphill task if they are to reach the knockout stage.
