Podolski demands more from Germany

Germany may have impressed some with Sunday´s 2-0 victory over Poland in their Euro 2008 opener, but goal hero Lukas Podolski believes they will need to crank it up a few more notches for their next outing.

Podolski scored in either half to help Germany record their first victory in the European Championship finals since they won the competition back in 1996 in England.

"We reached our goal, and we worked very hard. We had to go the distance and our next match will see us square off against Croatia which will be even more difficult," he said.
