Steaua´s european place under threat

Steaua Bucharest could be thrown out of next season´s Champions League after a bribery scandal in Romania.

Steaua were docked points in their domestic league and finished second in the table - and UEFA are considering expelling them from next season´s European campaigns.

UEFA president Michel Platini said: "UEFA has to combat cheating. There has been the attempt to corrupt referees and we have very strict rules to allow us to exclude teams that have been involved in any attempts of corruption."
