Three days ahead of #LeBigSwim, an aptly named project which sees Manchester United legend Eric Cantona scale the English Channel, massive images of him in his swimming apparel have been beamed across the White Cliffs.
On August 6, Cantona will swim the 25-mile journey from France to England for promotion of beer company Kronenbourg 1664 which he is the face of. The cliffs will feature three images of the ex France international modelling in his swimwear to launch the countdown to the mighty swim.
One image features Cantona wearing a golden silk robe and his trademark popped collar, as a stark reminder of just how dainty the 49-year-old still is.

As well as launching the countdown to the monumental swim, the images offered a humorous parody to his former Manchester United teammate David Beckham who was projected onto the White Cliffs in his underpants during his modelling days.
The campaign #LeBigSwim started with Cantona declaring that if 10,000 Britons agreed with him that Kronenbourg 1664 is the greatest tasting beer, he will take on the challenge to swim the Channel.
“I have never turned down an opportunity to be bold and make a statement in the name of something I believe in"
Cantona said: “I have never turned down an opportunity to be bold and make a statement in the name of something I believe in. When the people of Britain agree with me that Kronenbourg is the most suprême tasting beer,
"I, Cantona, will swim the Channel and show the world once again that I stand up for what I believe in.”
20 years have passed since Cantona's iconic kung-fu kick on an unsuspecting crowd member at Crystal Palace, will he be diving feet first into the brisk English Channel? The swim takes place on August 6, and you can track Cantona's progress via the hashtag #LeBigSwim.
