Captain Patrick Vieira has been ruled out of France´s first Euro 2008 match against Romania - and could yet miss the entire tournament.

Midfielder Mathieu Flamini was recalled to train with the France squad on Monday as a precaution ahead of Tuesday´s friendly with Colombia, with Vieira having missed the last two warm-up games after reportedly sustaining a thigh injury in training.

Coach Raymond Domenech has until June 8 to call up an official replacement for any injured player, with Les Bleus opening their Euro 2008 campaign the following day against Romania. But he is not yet ruling out the possibility of the 31-year-old Internazionale star featuring in the tournament.
