Holland defender Tim de Cler´s knee injury is not as serious as first feared and he will take his place in the squad for Euro 2008.

On a day which saw the Dutch lose Liverpool winger Ryan Babel to torn ankle ligaments, Oranje coach Marco van Basten will have been relieved not to have another member of his 23-man party pull out.

Feyenoord defender De Cler twisted his knee in training on Friday but was able to take part in a full session on Saturday. Coach Van Basten said: "Everything is okay with Tim. He can play on Sunday if needed."
