Kuranyi feels for unlucky trio

Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi has questioned coach Joachim Low´s decision to call up Jermaine Jones, Marko Marin and Patrick Helmes only to drop them from his final squad for Euro 2008.

Midfielder Jones, winger Marin and striker Helmes were the unlucky three to miss out when Low cut his 26-man preliminary party to 23 players on Wednesday.

Kuranyi, who was a late omission from Jurgen Klinsmann´s squad for the 2006 World Cup, told Kicker magazine: "Without wanting to criticise the coaches, my opinion is that it would have been better for the three not to have been selected in the first place."
