Osasuna coach Jose Angel Ziganda has agreed a one-year contract extension with the Pamplona-based club.

The new deal will tie the 41-year-old, who has spent a large part of his career at Osasuna - first as a player and then in various coaching roles - to the Primera Liga outfit until June 30, 2009.

Ziganda took over as first-team coach at Osasuna in 2006 following Javier Aguirre´s move to Atletico Madrid, and in his first season in charge led the club to the UEFA Cup semi-finals.
