Boulahrouz misses out on squad

Khalid Boulahrouz was the odd man out when Holland coach Marco van Basten revealed his final 23-man squad for Euro 2008 on Tuesday night.

The defender, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla from Chelsea, was vying with Wigan´s Mario Melchiot for the final berth in Van Basten´s selection for Austria and Switzerland.

The 26-year-old Boulahrouz was a late addition to Holland´s pre-tournament training camp after returning to action after a long period out with a groin injury but has failed to make the final cut.
