There have already been some amazing signings by the Premier League teams so far this summer.

There have been big money switches, some bargains and some downright ridiculous transfers, but this is my top five signings.

It won't necessarily be the big money signings either, for example, you will not see Raheem Sterling in this list, but you might see a couple of £10 mill or less deals.

5. Yohan Cabaye - Crystal Palace

There isn't a great deal to say about this deal. Cabaye is a massive, massive signing for Palace. He has been in this league before with Newcastle so we all know he has the talent to do well with Palace.

But has his year in Paris hindered his career? I doubt it. He is a top class professional who just oozes talent, congratulations to Palace for managing to secure such a massive coup.

4. Georginio Wijnaldum - Newcastle

This was Newcastle United's first transfer of the summer and it was a brilliant one. Wijnaldum is a very prestigious player with brilliant technique, dribbling, finishing and vision.

He really is the full package for an attacking player and is a brilliant signing for Newcastle.

3. Aleksandar Mitrovic - Newcastle

For all those who don't know, Newcastle have just signed a 20-year-old Serbian version of Mario Balotelli. He is a brilliant player who just has talent beyond belief but he is known for his off field antics.

From his controversial celebrations to his typical headline making attitude, he is the new Balotelli. The Balotelli who played for Man City though, not the one we saw at Liverpool last term.

2. Dimitri Payet - West Ham

Dimitri Payet is a great player. Simple as that. The French winger led the line in Ligue 1 last season for assists and he could be a massive player for West Ham.

If Andy Carroll manages to stay fit, they could have an almighty partnership. Payet crossing the ball in and Carroll rising above the rest to head it home, much like his partnership with Jose Enrique from his Newcastle days.

Payet is a real coup for West Ham and they should all be delighted with that. If he plays to potential, I can see him guiding his team to a top half finish this season.

1. Petr Cech - Arsenal

There is no self respecting football fan in the world who does not know who this man is and how great he is. At 33 years old, he is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has been for over ten years now.

He won title after title with Chelsea and many feel he could win one with Arsenal this year, me included.

The one thing the Gunners have been missing is a decent goalkeeper, now they have it. They now have what one would assume is the perfect team. They beat the champions last Sunday too. Petr Cech could be the final piece in the puzzle for Arsenal.

What are your thoughts, Is Petr Cech the best signing so far? Leave us a comment below and let us know your thoughts.
