Paris St Germain president Simon Tahar has backed coach Paul Le Guen to remain in charge for next season.

The capital club have endured a mixed campaign, involving a relegation battle and two cup finals, leading to speculation that Le Guen would be out of a job in the summer.

But following PSG´s 1-0 defeat to Lyon in the Coupe de France final on Saturday Tahar told L´Equipe: "He has shown all his strength of character and his abilities. I think he still has some cards to play when it comes to the decisions that will be taken. I hope he stays, obviously."
