Alexis and Hazard were both nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award last season - but it was the Chelsea man who claimed the accolade, despite scoring two fewer league goals than the Chile international.

“I am big fan of Alexis Sanchez – in fact, I think he is one of the league’s top players – but he plays on the left and he wouldn’t be ousting Hazard out of the Chelsea side any time soon,” Owen wrote, a day before the 2015-16 Premier League campaign gets underway.
“Of course, Chelsea are vulnerable if the likes of Terry, Matic, Hazard and Costa get injured, but I’d argue other teams are more reliant on their star players.”

Incidentally, BT Sport pundit Owen believes Chelsea will retain their Premier League crown under Jose Mourinho this season.
The former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United striker has Arsenal in third position, one place ahead of Manchester City but behind the Red Devils.
