Sergio Ramos is ready to reject Real Madrid's latest contract offer, possibly giving Manchester United another chance to sign him this summer.
AS reports that Real Madrid have offered him a long-term deal worth €8.5million-a-year. That is someway short of the €10m-a-year that Ramos had originally demanded.
As a result, Ramos could be set to reject the offer and throw his Bernabeu future into serious doubt. It could even inspire Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to renew his efforts.

The Red Devils had tried to coax the Spain international way from Real Madrid earlier this summer, also telling Los Blancos that they were open to the idea of offering David de Gea as part of a cash deal. They offered Ramos a five-year deal worth €55m.
Real Madrid responded by make Ramos the new captain and told Manchester United to forget the idea of signing him unless they agreed to pay €90m. Even with a plummeting Euro exchange rate, that still would still be enough to break the British transfer record and proved to rich for Ed Woodward.
However, if Ramos rejects the contract on the table, it could give Florentino Perez and Rafa Benitez reason to worry. The 29-year-old has just two years remaining on his current deal and could agitate his way out on the Spanish capital if necessary.
It doesn't take much to severe ties with the fickle Real Madrid faithful with some reports already suggesting that sections of the Bernabeu have lost faith in their long-serving centre-back.
With De Gea still keen to move to Real Madrid, a swap deal with Ramos remains a possibility.
Should Manchester United try their best to sign Sergio Ramos? Is he worth €90m?
