Cleveland Browns' Johnny Manziel has said he will not 'make a huge deal' out of time with the starters during practice.
Despite new arrival quarterback Josh McCown still being number one in the depth chart, Manziel will be given some first-team reps during practice today.
Browns Head Coach Mike Pettine said to Mary Cabot of the Northeast Ohio Media Group: "The quarterback rotation, we'll get Josh (McCown) some reps but maybe not as many as the others.

"You'll probably see Johnny out there with the ones. I don't know if they've totally etched that in stone, but that was the direction we were heading. All the coaches kind of submitted their plan for their guys and it's up to the coordinators to put that together, so I think that's tentatively now what the plan is.''
Pettine said McCown is still 'firmly the one' on the depth chart, but for reasons that could be out of their control, the Browns may be forced to change during the season. The team is just preparing for that situation.
Manziel agreed that just because he is being first-team reps, it doesn't mean he is any closer to the starting job.
He said: "If that's what he said, then we'll handle it as needed,'' said Manziel. "So it'll be good to get in there with those guys. I've been taking some reps in walk-throughs with them and things like that.
"I wouldn't make a huge deal about it, but to just get in and get some reps with those guys is always good."
Experience is now a factor for Manziel as he enters his second season in the NFL. When the time comes, or if the time comes that he needs to set up for the starting job, at least he has trained with the starters to get some chemistry going.
