Madrid-Levante game moved back

Real Madrid´s home match against relegated Levante has been moved back an hour to a 2100 local time kick-off following a request by the newly-crowned Spanish champions, the Liga de Futbol Profesional (LFP) have announced.

The LFP agreed to move the game, which pits the top team in the division against the bottom and will have no affect on the league placings, due to reasons of security and in the face of the planned strike by the Levante players.

The Levante playing staff announced on Monday that they would be calling an indefinite strike from Saturday because of the club´s continuing failure to pay up outstanding salaries and bonuses dating back to last season.
