Nurnberg coach Thomas von Heesen is confident his side can beat the drop when the Bundesliga season reaches its climax on Saturday.

Nurnberg were handed a lifeline last weekend when fellow strugglers Arminia Bielefeld conceded a last-minute own goal to drop two points against Dortmund, but they are still in the last relegation spot, two points behind Arminia, going into the game with Schalke. They need a win coupled with a defeat or a draw for Arminia, who have a far worse goal difference, against Stuttgart.

"I am 100% convinced that we will avoid relegation," said Von Heesen
