Nedved says no to Bruckner

Pavel Nedved has rejected an approach from Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner and will remain retired from international football, sitting out Euro 2008.

Bruckner has named a 23-man squad to take part in a pre-tournament training camp, but confirmed that the Juventus winger had declined the opportunity to be part of the group.

"I spoke to him for the last time yesterday, but it is still the same. He will not be in the team," Bruckner said. "He has never suggested anything else, so he only confirmed his decision."
