Liverpool look set to miss out on PSG left-back Lucas Digne, with the full-back looking likely to complete a loan switch to Italian side Roma.
The Telegraph are reporting, via Corriere dello Sport, that the Serie A side will pay a £1 million loan fee, with the option for a £17.5 million switch next summer.
Liverpool were reportedly linked with the 22-year-old as Brendan Rodgers continues to revamp his squad. He was seen as replacement for Jose Enrique, who looks likely to make a switch to West Bromwich Albion.

LEFT-BACK IS NOT AN AREA OF CONCERN
At the beginning of the summer the left-back spot looked like an area of concern for Liverpool, with Alberto Moreno and unproven youngster Joe Gomez the only options, as Enrique had no future at the club.
There have been question marks over Moreno's ability to defend as his performance levels dipped in the second half of last season.
However, it seems Gomez has stolen a march on the Spaniard and is now Liverpool's first choice left-back. Following a strong pre-season the former Charlton Athletic man was handed his debut for the away trip to Stoke City.
He produced a solid performance to contain Jonathan Walters and impressed with his ability in the air and on the floor. His 100 per cent tackle success rate showcased his strength and ability to read a tackle.
Gomez is primarily a centre back but is likely to find more game time if he continues at left-back. It is a big ask to expect the youngster, who only made 24 appearances for Charlton, to complete a whole season without a dip in form, but with Moreno there to challenge him it appears the left full-back area is not a position Liverpool need to worry about.
