Louis van Gaal has insisted Manchester United are interested in signing a top quality striker, but are not desperate to bring in a new forward this summer.

Following the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao, Van Gaal is left with Javier Hernandez and James Wilson to support Rooney, but the Dutch boss is not interested in bringing in a player just to make up the numbers.
Speculation has resurfaced surrounding a bid for Spurs' striker Harry Kane and the Dutch manager said that if a player of the highest quality becomes available then United will take action.
As per ESPN, he said: "It is not a special objective for me. But when we can buy another striker who has a lot of qualities, more than our players, then we buy, but we have done that always."
DE GEA ULTIMATUM
Real Madrid have reportedly given United an ultimatum over the future of goalkeeper David de Gea.
The two clubs have failed to settle on a fee for the Spanish stopper with Madrid only willing to pay €25million plus another €5m in add-ons, while United are holding out for €35m.
Real are not happy about being held to ransom for the services of their number one target and have told United to accept their latest deal, or risk losing the 24-year-old on a free transfer next season.
It has been reported by ABC that the deal involves the option for United to sign Keylor Navas for €10m.
SIXTH SUMMER SIGNING
The Red Devils are on the verge of completing their sixth summer signing, according to The Sun.
Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia looks set to complete a £17.5m switch to Old Trafford in the coming days.
Biglia would be the third central midfielder signed by Van Gaal this summer, as the Dutch boss continues to reshape his squad for the new campaign.
