Aston Villa have agreed a three-year deal with Barcelona B prospect Adama Traore, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
ESPN had earlier claimed that the Villains were preparing a €10million bid for the 19-year-old, but faced competition from Liverpool and Stoke City for his signature.
Tim Sherwood has fought hard to convince Traore to move to Villa Park and it is believed a deal with both the two clubs and the player have all come to terms on a deal.

Traore is set to travel to Villa Park later this week to undergo a medical and could be confirmed as their tenth summer signing before the weekend.
It will be a big blow to Liverpool fans, who last week saw reports claiming that the highly rated teenager was on his way to Merseyside to complete a move to the club.
There seems to have been some disagreement between Liverpool and Barcelona with regards to the €10m asking price. That is something Aston Villa used to their advantage, reinvesting the money that was ironically given to them by Liverpool for Christian Benteke.
The talent of Traore
Traore was born just a short distance from the Nou Camp and spent his early life making his way through the La Masia youth system. His talent was spotted early as coaches promoted him through three youth levels in 2012 alone.
Eventually. he would break into the Barcelona B team at 17-years-old, but his development has since ground to a halt. The problem is the huge jump that must be made between the B team and Luis Enrique's first-team.
Only the best of the best bridge the gap and Barcelona accept that Traore is unlikely to be one of them. However, there is no reason why he cannot fulfil his massive potential with Aston Villa.
